The origin of the breed was in Scotland, around the 1800. It´s one of the breeds ( terrier ) most ancient with the Skye Terrier, Cain Terrier and West Higland Terrier.
His best popular and recognized age was between 1920-1934 and it never fall, and now we are more and more popular. The ones who loves the breed, uses his figures in publications, the same that the famous scotland´s wisky does.
